MEANING : Combination of 'drama' and 'comedy'. A film, play or TV programme that mixes drama and comedy.

MEANING : A tune that keeps repeating itself over and over again in our heads.

MEANING : Very young child who spends a lot of time watching television.(cot = a baby's bed)


4. Freemale
MEANING : A woman who is happy to stay single and independent so that she can do what she wants when she wants.


5. Gastropub
MEANING : A pub which, in addition to beer and alcoholic drinks, offers gastronomic cuisine.


6. Couch potato
MEANING : A person who spends a lot of time sitting in front of the television.



7. Hacktivist
MEANING : A person who manipulates information on the internet in order to transmit a message, usually political.



8. It bag
MEANING : High-priced designer handbag that is the bag "of the moment", or a "must-have" item.


9. It girl
MEANING : A girl who has become a celebrity more through intense media coverage than through any personal achievements (e.g. Paris Hilton).

MEANING : Blend of 'jumbo' and 'umbrella'. Very large umbrella set above tables outdoors at a coffee shop, pub or restaurant.
